Darryl brings to USGIF over 18 years experience as a geosciences professional and remote sensing scientist. Darryl's robust practical experience and detailed theoretical understanding of commercial airborne and satellite-based active imaging and passive sensors and sound mapping science concepts has resulted in serveral publications, including "Airborne DIAL (Differential Absorption LiDAR) for broad area hazardous liquid leak detection." Darryl began his careers as a U.S. Army Aviation Officer, serving as platoon leader and Battalion Flight Operations Officer. As such he was resonsible for all aviation matters, including pilot training, staffing, maintenance, and spares. Post service, Darryl cof-founded Highland Geographic, a Geographic Information Systems and remote sensing applications development company.
